2010 Jog-a-Thon – “Hands like Ours Helping the World”

Dear Phillippi Shores family,

We at Phillippi Shores IB World School are asking for your support with our annual Jog-a-Thon which will be held Thursday March 25, 2009.  In accordance with our “IB” philosophy, this year’s theme is “Hands like ours Helping the World”.

We are an “A” rated school with 600+ students who are learning to be intelligent, respectful, and caring citizens.  The success is accomplished with the partnership of students, teachers, business owners, and families in our community.

For over 20 years our annual Jog-a-Thon has been our school’s biggest fundraiser.  With 100% of every dollar donated through Jog-a-Thon going directly back to our school. This fundraiser has provided educational tools, programs, and enrichment for our children and teachers.  Last year we were able to raise over $30,000 with your generosity and support.

Our event will begin with a motivating kick-off on March 5.  The children will then have approximately three weeks to collect their pledges.  The students will run laps around our Physical Education field with teachers, staff members, parents, family, and business sponsors cheering them on.

Family and community sponsorship of our school encourages a cooperative relationship that is mutually beneficial to you and Phillippi Shores .  The more money the school raises as a result of this event, the more the students receive in return.  Please review the attached Sponsorship Opportunities form.  We have included two forms in the hope that in addition to your support you might know someone in your life or our community (business or personal) who would be interested in becoming a sponsor as well.  We hope that you will become a partner in our success by continuing or becoming a sponsor.
