A Note from Your PALS

Welcome to the 2009-2010 School Year.  As your PALS Volunteer Coordinators we are extremely excited about all the fun events planned for Phillippi Shores and getting as many parents involved as we can.  Volunteers are a very important part of every event and make a huge impact on the students.  We have many committees, some that are new for volunteers to join this year.  Starting off is our Recognition Program which will have 4 quarterly celebrations.  We also have 2 brand new fundraisers: The Fall Festival (Nov. 13th) and a Dinner/Silent Auction set for February.  There is also a group just for the guys..."The GAP (Guys at Phillippi)".  We still have our favorites -  Jog-A-Thon, Book Fair, Program Night, Media Center, Hearing/Vision Screening, Cafeteria Helper and Dismissal Helper.  Please let us know if you are interested in joining a committee.

Lastly, please note all volunteers must be approved on the PALS computer in the main office.  Re-Activation should take only a few minutes. If you can log in, you are active.  New Volunteers should be activated within 72 hours and will be notified via email.

September 14th - Volunteer Orientation and Business Partner Breakfast  9-10am  Media Center

Sept. 14-18th  Book Fair  (all Day in Media Center) - we need helpers!!!

September 15th - Open House, General PTA Meeting

September 17th - Chixk Fillet night (Fruitville Road)

September 30th - Box Top Contest Ends for 1st quarter

October 1st - School Wide Directory Forms Due

October  8,9,12,13 and 14th  (Hearing/Vision Screening) - we need helpers!!!

October 15th - McDonald's night (Stickney Point)

October 29th - Program Night - Pumpkin Carving

October 30th - No School (Professional Day)
